Design Strength: Testing

PLAST-AX FEL Bins are made from 100% LDPE, including the fully moulded side fork pockets, designed for waste collection by a Front Load RCV.

When we first brought our FEL bins to market, we wanted to certify that the bins were safe for the intended use, could withstand the pressures of typical heavy workload demanded, and to assure customers that the bin has the durability to make it the most cost effective FEL bin range available to the waste collection service providers in New Zealand.

PLAST-AX guarantees that every one of our FEL bins manufactured will meet performance requirements and specifications in BS EN 12574-2:2017.

BS EN 12574-2:2017 is a British and European Standard used in New Zealand to stipulate performance requirements and test methods for stationary waste containers with capacity up to 10,000L, flat or dome lids, for trunnion, double trunnion or pocket lifting device.

The tests include a continuous 100 lift-tilt cycle at the ‘heavy waste’ load of 400kg/m³. Full video recordings and a comprehensive Test Report are readily available on request.

Extreme strength where it’s needed. (We’ve lifted a truck up on them, bottomed out the hydraulics, lifted the cab.)

Solid Base & Forklift Channels

The floor on all our bins is extra thick (approx. 18mm), and ribbed to facilitate general forklift use, creating an exceptionally strong, corrugated base.
