1.5m3 FEL Bin

The 1.5m³ is the bedrock design of the PLAST-AX FEL bin, first coming into production 2017.

PLAST-AX FEL bins deliver strength and endurance outside in the elements and through all the collection cycles of business as usual. Equally important, when you bring a PLAST-AX FEL bin inside, it has big, curved corners and smooth plastic surfaces that help protect people and plant when using and moving them around. The side FEL fork pockets provide a nice radiused handle grip to facilitate manually pushing them around on their castor wheels.

The 1.5m³ FEL bin stacks 4x high for efficient transport and storage.

Design Strength: Testing

PLAST-AX guarantees that every one of our FEL bins manufactured will meet performance requirements and specifications in BS EN 12574-2:2017.

The tests include a continuous 100 lift-tilt cycle at the ‘heavy waste’ load of 400kg/m³. Full video recordings and a comprehensive Test Report are readily available on request.

Bin Lid Options

Lids open onto the back ribbed section of the 3m³ and 4.5m³ Bins in a tongue and groove style, so that the entire surface area is in contact (rather than having a single point of impact to stress).

The recess in the top rim creates a nice lift access point; again, utilising the bin rather than impacting the strength integrity of the lid.

Lockbar

Our lock bar & brackets are hot dip galvanised and fit up retrospectively to the bins.
The bar and bracket are bolted in to captivated female fixings housed securely in the box section top rim.

Wheels

125mm wheel sets are supplied as 2x Fixed Directional, 2x Swivel Braked Castors. 1200kg rated Red Polyurethane (PU) outer on a Cast Iron inner; or 600kg rated Blue Rubber on a Black PU inner (smaller bins). All wheels are supplied with stainless fixings.
