Design Strength: Testing

PLAST-AX guarantees that every one of our FEL bins manufactured will meet performance requirements and specifications in BS EN 12574-2:2017.

The tests include a continuous 100 lift-tilt cycle at the ‘heavy waste’ load of 400kg/m³. Full video recordings and a comprehensive Test Report are readily available on request.

Bin Lid Options

Lids on the 3m3 and 4.5m3 units open against the rear ribbed panel in a tongue-and-groove configuration. This design spreads impact evenly across the entire surface rather than focusing stress on a single point. A recessed lift point in the rim makes accessing the lid easy without compromising its strength.

Lockbar

Our lockbar and bracket assemblies are hot-dip galvanised for corrosion resistance and can be retrofitted to existing bins. They bolt securely into captive female fixings housed within the reinforced box-section rim.
