The PLAST-AX 1.5m3 front load bin is the foundational design in our FEL range, first introduced in 2017. Built for long-term durability, this compact bin has become a trusted option for sites that need strength, reliability, and safe handling in both indoor and outdoor environments.

PLAST-AX bins are engineered to withstand the elements, ongoing collection cycles, and the daily demands of commercial waste handling. When used indoors, the 1.5m3 bin offers smooth plastic surfaces and large rounded corners that reduce impact to equipment and surrounding infrastructure. The side-mounted fork pockets provide a comfortable, radiused grip point, giving operators better control when moving the bin on its castor wheels.

For transport and yard efficiency, the 1.5m3 FEL bin stacks four high, helping operators manage space more effectively.

Design Strength: Testing

PLAST-AX guarantees that every one of our FEL bins manufactured will meet performance requirements and specifications in BS EN 12574-2:2017.

The tests include a continuous 100 lift-tilt cycle at the ‘heavy waste’ load of 400kg/m³. Full video recordings and a comprehensive Test Report are readily available on request.

Bin Lid Options

The 1.5m3 industrial waste bin uses the same PLAST-AX lid system found across the FEL range. Lids open against a reinforced rear ribbed section in a tongue-and-groove configuration, which spreads impact across the full surface to avoid concentrated stress. A recessed lift point in the rim provides easy grip access without compromising the integrity of the lid.

Lockbar

Our lockbar and bracket sets are hot-dip galvanised for superior corrosion resistance and can be retrofitted to existing bins. Each component bolts securely into captive female fixings housed in the reinforced box-section rim, delivering a strong and tamper-resistant locking solution.

Wheels

125mm wheel sets are supplied as 2x Fixed Directional, 2x Swivel Braked Castors. 1200kg rated Red Polyurethane (PU) outer on a Cast Iron inner; or 600kg rated Blue Rubber on a Black PU inner (smaller bins). All wheels are supplied with stainless fixings.
